So I know all of you may have encountered something in life that you don't know how to move on from it. Whether it is a break up or losing a loved one, we all go through it. So what do you do? Some people may dwell on it but that never changes anything. You sit around for days and days and just can't get that one thing off your mind. One thing that a person says will spark a memory or make you think of whatever is on your mind. Eventually, as time goes on, you start to not think of it as often. But the thing is, the hardship will always be in the back of your mind unless you completely move on from it. Everybody tells you to put one foot in front of the other and everything will fall into place, well that is not as easy as it sounds, is it?
These are things you should consider doing.
- If you are trying to move on from a relationship, you should try to avoid seeing or talking to that person. Seeing or talking to them will only bring up memories that will only hurt your more.
- Talk about how you feel. Have a girl’s night with all of your friends and talk about it. Talking will only make you feel better especially when your friends can give you feedback. Also, girl’s nights can help you not think about the situation.
- Crying can help too. Crying may not solve anything, but sometimes it can help you get some feelings out. Do not feel like crying is weak, because it is not it can really help.
- Forgive. This may seem ridiculous but if you constantly hold the hatred you have for that person, you will stress yourself out. Hatred in the heart will end up affecting you more than the person or thing you have a problem with. Forgive what that person did to you or what happened, but don’t forget. Remember what this experience has taught you, and keep that with you for the rest of your life so you know what to do if you have a situation like this later on in life.
