Movie Review!

http://flic.kr/p/8xhwFT

I was watching Grease this weekend and realized that it would be a good review for this blog.

Grease was first released in 1978 and is a musical romance. The movie takes place in the 50’s and is a story about two teens in love. Danny Zuko (John Travolta) and Sandy Olsen (Olivia Newton-John) met over the summer and fell in love. When they returned to school neither of them knew that Sandy now attended Rydell High School. Danny was the leader of the T-birds. The T-birds were a group of greasers with black-jackets. At a school pep rally, they ran into each other and Danny did not act like he did at the beach that summer. Sandy realizes how Danny really is and starts hanging out with the Pink Ladies. They end up reuniting and going on a date but it gets crashed by their friends. When the school dance is held, Danny and Sandy went together, but Danny and Cha Cha reunite so Sandy leaves. The movie ends with the last day of school when they go celebrate graduation at the fairgrounds. Danny transformed into a jock and Sandy changed into a bad girl wearing black leather and smoking a cigarette. They break out in song and dance and they share their love for each other so they leave together in Danny’s car saying goodbye to everyone.

I think this movie is a classic and everybody should see it. It shows how people acted in high school, the different people, the cliques, and gives a good back round on how the 1950s were. It shows that guys act different when they are with their friends rather than when they are alone. It also shows high school relationships. I would recommend this movie to anybody who wants to watch a movie about with singing, dance, and high school romance.
